Kano on Edge: Security chiefs meet with the deposed Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero (Pictures & Video)
Top security officials in Kano have convened at the mini-palace where Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero resides, amidst ongoing tensions in the city.
Governor Abba Yusuf recently reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi, who moved into the palace at Kofar Kudu early in the day. However, Ado Bayero returned to Kano and took residence in the mini-palace shortly after.
Governor Yusuf ordered Ado Bayero’s arrest, but the police have stated they will comply with the court order opposing Sanusi’s reinstatement.

Aminu Ado Bayero appears to be receiving significant attention from authorities, as he is currently in a high-level meeting with top Kano security chiefs.
The reasons for this meeting remain undisclosed at the time of reporting.
