Nasarawa police arrest varsity student for raping colleague
A 400-level student of the State University, Keffi, Gabriel David, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly raping a 100-level student of the same institution.
The arrest was made by police operatives attached to the Agwan Lambu Division close to the university in the Keffi Local Government Area of the state.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the suspect was arrested on May 9, 2024, for allegedly raping the 100-level student.
The suspect had traveled to the victim’s village and brought food items sent by the victim’s parents, which he used as a pretext to lure the victim into his room, where he committed the crime.
The suspect has confessed to the crime and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for further investigation.
