NDLEA busts cocaine cartel, arrests 4 members, declares couple wanted (Pictures)
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared a Nigerian couple, Kazeem Omogoriola Owoalade and Rashidat Ayinke Owoalade, wanted for running a cocaine cartel from India.
The agency has also arrested four members of the syndicate in Lagos, recovered a Sports Utility Vehicle, and sealed two houses traced to the couple for forfeiture to the Federal Government.
The couple, who are believed to be the masterminds behind the cartel, are currently on the run.
The NDLEA has been investigating the syndicate for several weeks and has made several arrests, including Imran Taofeek Olalekan and Ishola Isiaka Olalekan, who were caught attempting to export 3.40kg of cocaine to Oman.
The agency has also intercepted several drug shipments, including parcels containing cocaine and amphetamine, and has arrested several other suspects in connection with the cartel.
