Niger State police nab two suspected goat thieves
The Niger State Police Command has detained two individuals in connection with goat theft in Bida Local Government Area.
According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the police spokesperson, the suspects were intercepted by police operatives attached to A Div Bida along with community members.
“They were found with a Toyota Corolla vehicle, and upon questioning, one suspect attempted to flee while the other was also apprehended.”
During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their intention to steal goats in the area. They confessed to stealing two goats before their interception.

The suspects, identified as Aliyu Zaki, 36, and Umar Mohammed, 20, both from Masaga and Kusodogbo areas of Bida respectively, are currently under investigation at A Div Bida and will face prosecution after the investigation concludes.
