A journalist with Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV), Naziru Idris Ya’u, was struck by a stray bullet inside the Kano State Government House.
The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Friday, during the observance of World Press Freedom Day. Ya’u, who was immediately rushed to the Government House clinic, sustained injuries from the bullet, the source of which remains unknown.
Medical personnel at the clinic remarked that the bullet was not fired at close range, which contributed to Ya’u’s fortunate recovery after treatment.
