Sunday Oliseh applauds Atalanta’s Lookman as unstoppable forward
Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has showered praise on Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman for his exceptional performances with the Italian club.
Lookman, who joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €9.35m, has swiftly established himself as a key player since his arrival.
Struggling to make a mark in previous stints with Everton, Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester City, the 26-year-old has seamlessly adapted to life in Italy, emerging as one of the standout performers in the league.
In his debut season, Lookman tallied 15 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. This season, he has continued his fine form, netting 11 goals and providing seven assists in 37 games for La Dea.

His recent performances have been particularly impressive, with three goal contributions in his last three games, including a stunning solo goal against Empoli.

Lookman’s exceptional form comes at a crucial time for Atalanta, as they gear up to face Marseille in the semi-finals of the Europa League. Additionally, victories in their remaining Serie A fixtures could see them secure fifth place and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
With Atalanta also vying for their first Italian Cup title in 61 years, Lookman’s contributions will be vital as they seek success on multiple fronts.
