Woman in Gombe faces trial for spraying naira notes at social event
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Gombe State Command, has arrested a lady, Janty Emmanuel, who was seen spraying naira notes while dancing at a social event.
Ms Emmanuel was arrested on Monday, May 20, 2024, following intelligence that spotted her abusing the Naira notes at an event in Gombe.
EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement that upon her arrest, Emmanuel was shown the video where she was dancing at G-Connect, Tumfure, Gombe State, and spraying Naira notes of N1000 denomination.
“She admitted committing the crime and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the anti graft agency said.
