During an interview, Igweh addressed the complex nature of kidnapping cases, highlighting that some individuals might plan their own abductions.
Narrating the Lugbe incident, he explained how the husband noticed the substantial amount in his wife’s account and enlisted individuals to abduct her, demanding N40 million for her release.
Igweh emphasized that despite being a married couple, legal action had to be taken as it was a criminal offense, resulting in their imprisonment.
Igweh stated, “We receive numerous cases of similar nature, where the lines between victim and perpetrator may be blurred.”
