APC women leader dies during Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia
The women leader of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ramota Bankole, has passed away during Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Bankole, who previously served as the Welfare Secretary for Lagos APC, was reportedly one of the pilgrims who died due to the extreme heat in the holy land.
Her death was confirmed on Thursday by the council chairmen of Epe Local Government, Eredo, and Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The council chairmen expressed shock and sadness over the loss of the Lagos APC executive member, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday.

The Chairman of Epe Local Government, Surah Animashaun, stated that the deceased was in good health before embarking on the pilgrimage.
In a statement, Surah Animashaun said, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Alhaja Ramota Bankole.
It is heartbreaking to hear that she died in Mecca while on the holy pilgrimage. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bankole family, APC members, and the people of Epe during this difficult time.”
