Bandits in Kaduna kill 6, burn houses, motorcycles
At least six people have been killed and scores abducted by bandits in a fresh attack on Bauda and Chibiya communities in Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
According to reports, the bandits stormed the two villages on Monday afternoon, unleashing terror on the residents.
They killed six people, including four farmers and a visitor, and took an unspecified number of others away. Several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, Ibrahim Gajere, confirmed the incident in a statement. He said the bandits invaded the communities on motorcycles, shooting two people dead at Bauda village and killing four others at Chibiya village.
The council boss added that the bandits set seven residential buildings ablaze, along with eight motorcycles. “He noted that security operatives have been notified of the incident and have intensified patrols within and around the communities”.
The police authorities in Kaduna State are yet to comment on the incident. The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the state, which has been plagued by banditry and kidnapping in recent years.
