Euro 2024: England, France, Netherlands advance to knockout stages
The latest updates from Euro 2024 reveal that England, France, and the Netherlands have officially advanced to the knockout stages of the tournament.
This development came after Albania faced a 1-0 loss to Group B leaders Spain, with Ferran Torres scoring an early goal in Duesseldorf.
England successfully qualified from Group C, while France and the Netherlands emerged victorious from Group D, positioning themselves as potential top contenders among the four best third-placed teams at the competition.
All three nations are set to play their final group matches on Tuesday as they strive for a top-two finish to secure a favourable draw in the last-16 stage.
Currently, England holds four points and leads Group C ahead of their upcoming game against Slovenia in Cologne.

A victory would ensure the team’s domination in the group, while a draw could suffice if Denmark fails to triumph over Serbia in the other match of the section.
In Group D, France and the Netherlands were deadlocked in a goalless draw in their recent clash, both accumulating four points in the process.
France is set to face Poland, who are already eliminated, while the Netherlands are scheduled to play against Austria. Notably, a win for Austria against the Dutch would guarantee their progression into the knockout rounds with six points.
Should both France and the Netherlands achieve victories or draws on Tuesday, they will be further separated for the top spot based on overall goal difference, overall goals scored, disciplinary points, and their European qualifiers rankings.
