Father of 2 in Kaduna rapes 9-year-old girl on her father’s farm

A 9-year-old girl has been reportedly raped while guarding her father’s farm against encroaching goats in Akilibu village of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon when the girl and her younger sibling were vigilantly watching over the farm.
The father of the victim, Muhammadu Kabiru, recounted the harrowing event in a phone conversation.
He explained that despite efforts to protect their farm, some animals still managed to roam freely.
A member of the community, identified as Aminu, who is married and has two children, allegedly assaulted the young girl, causing injuries including a fractured hand and trauma to her private area.
The victim is currently receiving treatment in the hospital for her injuries.
Upon learning of the incident, the suspect was swiftly apprehended and taken to the local police outpost for further investigation.
Comrade Nura Muktar, a human rights activist from the NGO, Human Right Network, expressed determination to support the family and pursue justice for the victim.
The NGO vows to see the case through to its rightful conclusion, ensuring accountability and protection for the young girl.
He said such heinous acts must be condemned, and swift legal actions taken to prevent future occurrences and ensure justice for the innocent.
