FCT residents nab transformer vandal trying to steal cables

Residents of Senior Staff Quarters in Abaji town, Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, have apprehended a vandal while attempting to steal cables from a local transformer.
Salihu Usman, an eyewitness, reported that the incident occurred at approximately 4am on Wednesday.
He explained that while on his way to the mosque for Subhi prayers, he noticed three hoodlums breaking into the transformer station and immediately raised the alarm.
Security personnel stationed at the chairman’s residence intervened by firing warning shots, prompting two of the perpetrators to flee.
However, one of them became entangled in barbed wire within the transformer enclosure and was subsequently detained by local residents.
He revealed that local vigilantes later arrived to assist in securing the suspect.
