Leicester City appoints Steve Cooper as new manager
In an exciting development for Leicester City, former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has been appointed as the new manager on a three-year deal.
Cooper, aged 44, brings with him a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role, eager to lead the team to success in the Premier League.
Having been out of work since his departure from Forest in December 2023, Cooper expressed his pride and excitement at taking on the role at Leicester City.
He acknowledged the club’s rich history and passionate fanbase, expressing his determination to work with the talented squad and achieve their shared ambitions in the Premier League.
The Foxes have been on the lookout for a new manager since Enzo Maresca departed for Chelsea at the beginning of June.
Cooper’s appointment comes after the club considered several candidates before picking Cooper, who has significant experience with Premier League and a track record of developing and making teams stand out.
Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha welcomed Cooper to the club, emphasising his vision for the team and ability to implement a dynamic style of play.
