Niger Republic: A Nation that deserves award from Nigeria, by Jibreel Muhammad Babangoshi

I am writing this piece for two reasons; One, on the arrest of Notorious Nigerian bandit kingpin, Kachalla Baleri, who was arrested in the Niger Republic yesterday or so. Baleri, who had earlier escaped captivity, was arrested by troops of Niger Republic’s Operation Farautar Bushiya on Tuesday at Rouga Kowa Gwani in the Guidan Roumdji .

This guy was said to be a close associate if not second in command of the equally notorious Bello Turji who has been terrorising the people of North West Nigeria of Katsina, sokoto and Zamfara simultaneously.

Baleri was ranked the 40th most wanted person in Nigeria by the Nigerian army, with a price on his head.

Two, when one of my Sokoto friend whom I visited to condole with over the loss of his father who was shot 6th times but later gave up the ghost.

At the end of the story, my friend told me how the leader of the gang who shot his father fled to Niger and was arrested.

My friend narrated how the villagers gathered information based on the guy’s activities when he got to Niger, reported to the military and they quickly responded. My friend also told me how he personally visited Niger to see one of the soldiers who broke his hand on the cause of both physical and spiritual fights with the bandit. At the end of it all, he’s in the military net now.

We all remember how the Nigeria Government cut their long diplomatic ties with Niger based on foreign interest fueled by France. Now we’re not calling for the ties to return alone but rather award the Military junta for helping us against those who are terrorising our people.

Niger military not only announced his arrest but displayed Pictorial evidence of him and his boys all Handcuffed with eyes covered. This is the guy that his name alone in Zamfara state or Katsina will make villagers run to toilet but with proper coordination, organisations, joint operations , selfless service, commitment and patriotism brought him to his knees at a time we’re busy with “National Anthem “.

Oh my Dear Country and it’s leadership, a day of reckoning awaits us as well as posterity on how we treat our Military in the front line and the unrest of the civilians caused by insecurity that we have all it takes to bring an end to it.

Our Military Welfarism matters to us more than the Welfarism of our Politicians. Their Children’s Education as well as their Housing should be our priority.. I spoke to one of my Military friend who openly told me ” Guy, my Salaries cannot buy a bag of rice” . Just imagine him being posted to the front line while facing a terrorist with a superior weapon.

They’re always awake while we’re on our beds with our families. They deserve more to give more in defending the territorial Integrity of out Dear Nation.

God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
