Nigerian Army receives 2 fighter helicopters
In an effort to strengthen its aviation capabilities and enhance the fight against insurgency, the Nigerian Army welcomed the arrival of two fighter helicopters on Thursday.
The Bell UH1-H helicopters landed at the NAF Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 4:40pm, where they were warmly received by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.

These helicopters are set to operationalise the Nigerian Army’s aviation wing, providing critical close air support to ground troops and improving response time in combat situations.
