NSCDC deploys 3,168 personnel in Kano to ensure peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebrations

As Eid-el-Kabir approaches, the Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has taken proactive measures by deploying 3,168 personnel.

 

This deployment aims to maintain law and order during the festive celebrations across the state.

In a statement released to journalists on Friday in Kano, the Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi, highlighted the collaboration between the deployed NSCDC officers and other security agencies like the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and Kano State Road Traffic Agency.

The joint efforts are focused on ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and upholding law and order before, during, and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Commandant Mohammed Falala emphasised the importance of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, in accordance with the Corps’ mandate. He urged all officers and men to be vigilant and committed to these objectives during this festive period.

“To this end, the State Commandant has approved the deployment of Three thousand One hundred and Sixty eight (3,168) personnel to cover Eid-el Kabir celebrations in Kano.

“Consequently, the good people of Kano are hereby enjoined to cooperate with security agents, obey law and order for peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in the state,” Abdullahi added in the statement.
