The Human Eye: A camera more powerful than you think

To put this into perspective, a high-end smartphone camera typically has a resolution of around 12-16 megapixels. The human eye, on the other hand, can process an incredible 576 megapixels, making it one of the most powerful “cameras” in the world.

But how does it achieve this remarkable feat? The answer lies in the way our eyes are structured. The retina, which is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, contains two types of photoreceptors called rods and cones.
