Tinubu inaugurates project to improve urban infrastructure in FCT

President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Arterial Road N20, an initiative approved by his government to upgrade infrastructure and encourage sustainable growth in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking at an event, the President emphasized how the project aligns with his administration’s wider goals of improving urban infrastructure and preparing cities for future challenges.
He also praised the project for creating over 1,500 job opportunities for Nigerian citizens, highlighting his government’s dedication to employment and empowering young people.
Tinubu mentioned his decision to name the road after Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka recognizing the author’s impact on Nigeria’s literature and culture.
He commended the efforts of the FCT Administration, contractors, engineers, and all parties involved in successfully finishing the project.

Similarly, the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike expressed gratitude to Tinubu for his vision and dedication to transforming the FCT into a model for future development endeavors.
Executive Secretary Shehu Hadi Ahmad provided an overview of the project, outlining its features such as a six-lane dual carriageway, extensive underground utilities, and streetlights aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing the quality of life in the FCT.
