The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is organising the 2nd edition of the Spelling Bee competition among school children across the state.

The event, themed “Spelling to Improve Learning: A Key to Resilience,” will take place in July, featuring 72 participating schools.

Acting chairman of SUBEB, Malam Isa Shettima, said the Spelling Bee aims to enhance the education sector in Yobe State, aligning with Gov. Mai Mala Buni’s efforts to revamp the state’s educational system.
