The Gombe State Police Command has announced with profound grief the passing of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mohammed Haruna, who has been described as a dedicated and fine officer of the force.

CSP Haruna, who was the second in command of the state intelligence department, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional service and dedication to duty.

Haruna was a multiple award-winning officer, who was a pioneer recipient of the Security and Emergency Management Awards (SAEMA) in 2019.

In a statement, Commissioner of Police, Gombe State, Hayatu Usman, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family members and loved ones of the late CSP Haruna.

“His demise is an irreparable loss to the entire Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and his family.

“May Almighty Allah give the fortitude to the family to bear this irreparable loss, ” CP Usman said.

Also the Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, praised CSP Haruna’s unwavering commitment to duty and his significant contributions to the state intelligence department.

He said his work and dedication have left an indelible mark on the command, and he would be remembered for his enduring impact on the force and the community he served.

The Gombe State Police Command has extended its sincerest condolences to the family of CSP Haruna, honouring his memory and service.

As the command mourns the loss, his professional colleagues in media and public relations reflect on his dedication and professionalism while in active service.

Members of the popular Police Partnership Forum he had created while serving as police spokesperson have continued to pour encomiums on late courageous officer.
