Emir of Zazzau holds Durbar to honour Oluwo of Iwoland

Zazzau Emirate has hosted the Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdurasheed Adewale Akanbi, to a befitting durbar at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria City.

The durbar was part of activities organised to welcome and entertain the visitor to the Zazzau cultural heritage.

The Majesty ’s visit to Zaria is to promote unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians with different cultural values.

His Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli led the durbar procession alongside his council members.

The Emir of Zazzau said the Emirate is known for its hospitality to every citizen without any differences.

Bamalli noted that unity and friendship is what people of Zazzau Emirate hold, that is why it is home to every Nigerian, irrespective of ethnicity or religious background.

In his remarks, the visitor, Oba Abdurasheed Adewale Akanbi expressed gratitude to the Emir and Zazzau Emirate for the wonderful hosting he enjoyed at the palace.

Oba Akanbi said, as brothers, the Durbar he witnessed at the Emir’s Palace is a unifying factor.

He admitted that he has never witnessed such a Durbar in his life and thanked the Emir, His Highness the emir of Zazzau for organising the historic occasion like a befitting durbar in his honour.
