Exploring Numerology: The mystical powers behind numerology and astrology

Have you ever wondered why to some, certain numbers are lucky numbers? Associating significance to figures which to you are just numbers? Or why your birth date has a peculiar interpretation to it? Well, this is numerology at work. It is an ideology which you might rather not believe but significant some people.

Numerology is the ancient practice of assigning transcendental significance to numbers which has enchanted cultures and civilizations. It’s origin can be traced back to ancient civilization such as Egypt, Babylon and China.

While numerology attaches significance to numbers, astrology on the other hand studies the movement of planets, sun, moon and stars with the belief that, these movements do have influence on people’s lives.

Numerology and astrology were associated with eachother in ancient Babylon by assigning numbers to celestial bodies which in turn is used to interpret human affairs.

One of the earliest known written legal codes known as Codes Of Hammurabi contains numerological references that suggests a belief in the divine significance of numbers.

In ancient Egypt, astrology using numerology played a significant role in religious and social practices. They attributed magical properties to numbers to determine when it is auspicious for certain events to happen.

Also in ancient china, numerology known as “feng shui” was incorporated into everyday life as it was believed to influence harmony and balance. To this day, certain numbers are considered lucky based on events and interpretation.

The foundation of modern numerology is credited to The Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras. Pythagoras believed numbers were relevant to reality as such he created the Pythagorean system of numerology which assigns numerological values to alphabet to solve equations.

Numerology has evolved by blending with various cultural and religious practices in Babylon, Egypt, China and also modern times as some people still believe in the spiritual and life energy of the universe using their various date of birth for interpretation of human affairs.

The history of astrology and numerology shows the unwavering passion of humanity with numbers as symbolic or cosmic which has created pathways of understanding the universe and one’s society.
