Gang kills final year Nasarawa state varsity law student
A 500-level law student at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Mr. Baba Jazuli, was tragically killed by a gang near Akwanga town in Nasarawa State.
According to his course mate, Mr. Jibril Usman-Umar, Jazuli was attacked on Friday night in the Angwan Mada area, an adjacent village to Akwanga. He was reportedly assaulted and murdered by unknown assailants.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Nasarawa State, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed that Jazuli was attacked while traveling by commercial motorcycle from Rinze to Rinze junction. He was ambushed by three men armed with cutlasses, sticks, and a gun, and was beaten and macheted.

Police arrived at the scene and transported the victim to General Hospital Akwanga, where he was pronounced dead. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident and extended condolences to Jazuli’s family, promising that justice will be pursued.
