Hisbah destroys N60 million worth of alcohol, illegal substances

In a significant operation, the Katsina State Hisbah Board has destroyed alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs valued at N60 million in Funtua Local Government Area.
The operation resulted in the confiscation and destruction of 1,750 crates of alcoholic drinks, 33 jerry cans of locally-brewed beer, and various illegal substances.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Hisbah Commander Dr. Aminu Usman, stated that the action was in line with the board’s mission to uphold moral standards in the community. He commended the dedication of Hisbah officials and urged them to continue their vigilance.

Dr. Usman appealed to religious leaders for support, emphasizing that Hisbah’s efforts extend beyond any specific group or sect. He also expressed gratitude to Governor Dikko Radda for his ongoing support of the board’s initiatives.
The Hisbah Commander further encouraged the public to report locations of immoral activities and called on parents, educators, and community leaders to strengthen efforts in promoting discipline and moral values among the youth.
