I killed my husband because he stopped me from wearing miniskirts – Pregnant wife
A heartbreaking incident occurred in Faram Faram village in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State when a quarrel between a man and his pregnant wife over a miniskirt led to a fatal outcome for the husband.
Patrick John, the man involved, returned home one night from a drinking joint and found his wife in a miniskirt, despite previously warning her against wearing it.
The disagreement escalated on June 13, 2024, when the man confronted his wife about the clothing, leading to a physical altercation where he allegedly grabbed her by the neck.
Neighbours intervened to separate them, but the situation worsened when the man reportedly returned to confront his wife again.

In a moment of desperation, Maryam, the wife, defended herself by striking her husband on the forehead with a hoe. He was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Maryam, now facing court proceedings, has pleaded self-defence in the Chief Magistrate Court 2 in Yola.
Presiding Magistrate Musa Alhaji Adamu ordered her remand following a guilty plea to the charge of culpable homicide, with the case adjourned to July 10, 2024.
