The creation of Adam (AS) is a lesson in gratitude. When Allah created Adam and breathed life into him, his first act was to sneeze and say “Alhamdulillah” (all praise belongs to Allah). Allah responded with “Yarhamuk-Allah” (Allah bestows His mercy upon you). However, after listening to his companions’ advice, he chose a different strategy. In the Battle of Khandaq, he also adopted the trench warfare strategy suggested by a former Persian slave. Prophet Yunus (AS) was sent to guide the people of Nineveh, but they rejected his message. Disheartened, he left and boarded a ship.
