Kwara varsity expels 175 students over possession of firearm, fraud, others
The Kwara State University has expelled 175 students over unlawful possession of firearm, examination malpractices, result forgery and other offences.
Management of Kwara State University, Malete, said the 175 students were dismissed from the institution for various offences such as exam malpractices, assault, forgery of results to gain admission, fraud and also belonging to unregistered associations and illegal possession of firearm among other.
The expulsion was contained in a statement signed by the acting Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, which was made available to journalists on Monday.

The statement said approval of the expulsion followed the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC), which held sittings between October 2021 and March 2024.
