Late Nick Imudia’s maid narrates final conversation before his tragic death
The maid of the late Nick Imudia, a former Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian e-commerce giant, Konga, has revealed the last conversation that she had with him before he allegedly jumped off the balcony of his storey building to his death.
According to Imudia’s close friend, who spoke with Vanguard on the condition of anonymity, a day before the tragic incident, the deceased called his maid and handed a piece of paper containing five telephone numbers, including that of his brother in the United States of America, to her.
He instructed her to keep the numbers because she would need them at the appropriate time.
Imudia then went into the bathroom, turned on the shower and left it running, making it appear to the maid that he was having his bath.
However, after the shower kept running for an unusually long time, the maid, who wondered what her boss could still be doing in the bathroom for so long, knocked on the door, but got no response. She eventually left knocking.

However, moments later, the security guard called her attention to what had happened to their boss.
Imudia’s friend said:
“Moments later, she said the private guard knocked on the door and informed her to come and see what had happened to Nick. She rushed downstairs and found him in a horrible state. Immediately, she rushed upstairs and still met the shower on. By the time she opened the door, she discovered there was nobody in there.”
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has asked for the release of Imudia’s body for burial, even as it ruled out suicide as the cause of death, insisting that Imudia never showed any signs of stress and was never diagnosed as depressed at any point.
Detectives at the Homicide section of the Lagos State Criminal Investigative Department, Yaba, are still investigating the cause of Imudia’s death
