Man murders ex-wife, takes own life afterwards
Tragedy struck in Igede-Ekiti, Ekiti State, as a man, yet to be identified, reportedly stabbed his ex-wife to death before taking his own life.
Reports indicate that the woman, who had two children with the man, had left him and moved out of Igede-Ekiti.
She returned to the town for an event when the man invited her to see one of their children, claiming the child was sick.

Sensing something amiss, the woman went to the man’s house with a companion.
Upon arrival, the man attacked her, stabbing her multiple times. After confirming her death, he then stabbed himself in the abdomen.
Another version had it that that after killing her, the man took Sniper, a poisonous insecticide, to end his life.
