Man poses as lecturer, steals new students’ phones during fake test

A young man, identified as Muhammad Shamsi, has been arrested after he entered the lecture theatre of NCE 1 students of Business Education at FCE Bichi in Kano State, claiming to be one of their lecturers and stealing their phones.
After entering the class, Shamsi, an indigene of Sokoto State, reportedly announced an impromptu test and collected some phones from the students to prevent them from cheating.
While the test was underway, he told the class representative to meet him in the office with the scripts, that he wanted to pickup his laptop.
Neptune Prime gathered that the fake lecturer used the opportunity to runaway with all the phones he collected.

Luckily, he was arrested where he was negotiating the prices of the stolen phones in Kano State.
Confirming the incident to Neptune Prime, FCE Bichi public relations officer, Fatima Hassan Ahmad, said the institution’s security agents arrested the suspect and handed him over to the police and investigation has commenced.
