NDLEA in Lagos seizes cocaine, opioids hidden in shoes, clothing

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made significant seizures of cocaine and tramadol concealed in shoes and custard containers destined for Europe.

The agency posted about the bust on their X account on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

According to the statement, NDLEA operatives intercepted various quantities of cocaine and opioids, including tramadol, pentazocine injection, morphine sulphate, and ketamine injection, hidden in shoe soles, clothing, and other items.

These shipments were intended for the United States, United Kingdom, and Cyprus.

The seizures included 250 grams of cocaine hidden in the soles of custom-made shoes and over five kilograms of opioids found in clothes and household items set to be shipped through courier firms in Lagos.

Additionally, a consignment of 440 grams of Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis from Canada, was intercepted in Lagos.
