NIMC, Lawmakers collaborate for effective identity management
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and members of the House of Representatives Committee on National Population convened a retreat titled “Identity Management and Legislative Oversight” to enhance collaboration and strengthen their working relationship.
NIMC Director General, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, highlighted that the retreat aimed to familiarise committee members with the Commission’s activities, mandate, and mission. She stressed the importance of creating an environment where lawmakers and the Commission’s management can identify potential collaboration areas, fostering a successful digital identity framework in Nigeria.

House of Representatives Committee on Population Chairman, Honourable Okunjimi Odimayo, praised the NIMC DG and her team for elevating the Commission’s profile since she assumed office. He assured the Committee’s full support to help NIMC achieve its mandate.
The retreat was attended by members of the House of Representatives Committee on Population and NIMC management staff.
