Planned Protest: Gov. Buni convenes meeting with heads of security agencies

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has met with heads of security agencies in the state hours before the planned nationwide protest.
The governor was represented by his deputy, Honourable Idi Barde Gubana, who disclosed that the purpose of the meeting was to enhance security in major local government areas and Damaturu, the state capital.
In a statement issued by Hussaini Mai Suleh, press Secretary to Yobe Deputy Governor, the governor urged the people of the state to be calm as government will continue to workout modalities to cushion the effect of the hardship.
He employed people of the state to continue to pray for leaders to address the present socio-economic challenges confronting the nation.

The governor advised the local government stakeholders to sensitise their people on the dangers of the protest.
Shortly after the meeting, the Commissioner of Police Affairs, Yobe State Command, Ahmad Garba, briefed newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, he said the security agencies will be ready to deal with the bad elements and protesters who went astray.
He assured that security men will be on alert to monitor the situation to ensure that things would not go out of control where bad elements in the guise of protesters will loot and destroy government infrastructure during protest.
Ahmad Garba assured that his people will be deployed across Yobe State to tackle any the situation during the protest.
