Police explain how UNIMAID Don, Ruth Wazis, died

The Borno State Police Command, on Monday, confirmed the death of the former Head of the Department of Business Management, University of Maiduguri, Professor Ruth Wazis, who tragically passed in an accident at her home.
The Commissioner of Police (CP) Yusuf Lawal, who confirmed the incident in an interview with newsmen, said the incident occurred on Sunday.
Lawal said that as the professor was parking her car in her garage, a sudden mechanical malfunction caused the vehicle to accelerate unexpectedly, knocking her to the ground and pressing her chest.
He said that she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries before being taken to the hospital.
He explained further that her remains have been taken to a hospital morgue by her family members.
