Police in Adamawa arrest man for killing friend over motorcycle, N20,000

A 25-year-old man, Yahaya Balarabe, has been arrested in Adamawa State for allegedly killing his friend Usman and stealing his motorcycle and N20,000 cash.
Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, said the incident occurred on 17th July 2024.
Balarabe, from Dage Village in Ganye Local Government Area, accompanied the victim, Usman, to his farm under the pretence of helping him spray herbicides.
He then attacked Usman, stabbing him in the head with a cutlass and disposing of the body in a gutter.

Nguroje said the police arrested Balarabe after Usman’s family reported the incident.
Evidence found at the crime scene pointed to Balarabe, who confessed to the crime, admitting his motive was to take Usman’s motorcycle and money.
