Security forces dislodge kidnappers in Abuja after 2-hour gun battle
A combined team of army, police, and vigilante swiftly responded to a distress call from the residents of Hajiya Zahra extension in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) early this morning.
The security personnel engaged suspected kidnappers in a prolonged gunfight, which lasted from around midnight to 2:00 AM.
During the clash, the gunmen managed to kidnap a woman, a man, and a boy aged about 15. One resident was injured in the crossfire but is now recovering at Kuje General Hospital.
The incident took place in Hajiya Zahra extension, a large community located directly opposite the Government Secondary School in Kuje.

As of now, no official statement has been issued by the security forces, though a police officer confirmed the event and mentioned that the team is pursuing the criminals.
Residents praised the security forces for their prompt and effective response, noting that the quick action likely prevented further havoc.
