Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have attacked the Jakana Police Station in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, resulting in the deaths of a police officer and a woman.

The insurgents also looted arms and ammunition during the raid.

Security sources reported that the attackers set ablaze two patrol vehicles and a motorcycle during the assault.

The attack, which caught the security operatives by surprise, began at around 1:00 am and continued until 3:00 am.

“They overpowered them and gained access into the police station, looted arms and ammunition, and destroyed two patrol vehicles,” a source said.

“One of the vehicles belonged to the police and the other to the members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).”

Hon. Abbas Ali Abari, Chairman of Konduga Local Government, confirmed the attack to journalists, stating that more details would be provided as they became available.
