Abuja lady stabs boyfriend to death during argument
Mary Adewumi, 26, was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Sharon Olisah, to death in the Kurudu suburb of Abuja, FCT.
A neighbour, Samuel Isaac, said the incident happened around 5pm on Saturday after a misunderstanding between the suspect and the victim.
He said trouble broke out after the victim visited the suspect’s house on Friday and met another man with her.

He said the suspect angrily left her house back to his house after an exchange of words. And that the suspect later visited his apartment on Saturday evening where a quarrel broke out following which she rushed to the kitchen, took a knife and stabbed him on the chest.
He further said, “He screamed which attracted neighbours who rushed to discover him lying on the floor in the pool of his own blood.”
Isaac added that the suspect attempted to escape but was apprehended before policemen whisked her away.
The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, who confirmed the incident, said, “And during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have mistakenly stabbed the deceased while they were having a heated argument.”
