CGC Adeniyi appoints OA Alajogun, IG Umar, others to new Customs roles

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has announced a significant reorganisation within the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), prompted by the retirement of several senior officers.

In a statement issued today, Adeniyi revealed that the new appointments, all in acting capacities, aim to enhance service delivery and reinforce the NCS’s leadership effectiveness.

The new management includes BM Jibo as Acting Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) for Finance, Administration, and Technical Services (FATS); OA Alajogun as Acting DCG of Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I); and IG Umar as Acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Headquarters.

Additionally, OA Salefu will serve as Acting ACG of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), BA Makinde as Acting ACG of Human Resource Development (HRD), and T Bomodi as Acting ACG of Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I).

Adeniyi urged the new appointees to focus on advancing the NCS’s objectives in revenue generation, smuggling suppression, and trade facilitation. He also expressed his gratitude to the retiring officials for their dedicated service.

This leadership reshuffle is set to bring renewed energy to the NCS’s mission and operations.
