Anambra youths commissioner, wife kidnapped en route to Abuja
Patrick Aghamba, the Anambra State Commissioner for Youths Development, and his wife have been kidnapped while travelling to Abuja.
The couple was on their way to attend the wedding of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter, scheduled for Saturday, August 17th. Tragically, an aide accompanying them, identified as Kpajie ABK Offiah—a prominent Onitsha youth and APGA stalwart—was shot dead by the kidnappers during the incident.
The kidnapping reportedly occurred at the Kogi axis of their route, though there is some uncertainty about the exact location, with Ubiaja in Edo State also mentioned as a possible site of the incident.

Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, confirmed the abduction but noted that the state government is still working to determine the precise location where the attack took place.
Efforts are reportedly underway to locate and rescue the kidnapped individuals.
