Angry protesters hurl stones at Gombe gov’t house (Video)
Protesters in Gombe State have trooped out in their numbers to participate in the ongoing nationwide protests against hunger, harship and bad governance.
The protesters like those in Bauchi and Kano States, targeted the Gombe State Government House.
It was reported that the citizens attacked and hurled stones at the building while some believed to be hoodlums destroyed properties at the Jekadafari axis of the state.
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, had on Tuesday held a meeting with critical stakeholders, where they assured him that they will not be part of the protest.
The Public Relations Officer ASP Buhari Abdullahi confirmed the breakdown of law and order in the state.

He said, “The situation is under control. We are managing the situation, the situation now is relatively calm. We are trying to talk to them so that they can consider dialogue.”
The police P.R.O confirms that all security heads are on ground managing the situation as protests escalating to violence is not only peculiar to Gombe state only.

However, a video posted on social media and obtained by Neptune Prime showed a protester lamenting the use of teargas by security operatives despite residents staging a peaceful protest.
