Bauchi relaxes curfew in Azare for 12 hours

Bauchi State Government has relaxed the curfew imposed in Azare, headquarters of Katagum local government area, from 24 hours to 12 hours. (6pm to 6am daily).
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim said, “You may recall that a 24-hour curfew was imposed in Katagum Local Government Area which was due to the deteriorating security situation in the local government.

“After a careful review in conjunction with security agencies, it has been observed that sanity is gradually returning to the area.
“It is against this backdrop that His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, the Governor of Bauchi State, approved the relaxing of the curfew from 24-hours to 12-hours (6pm to 6am daily)”

He calls on law abiding citizens to continue to cooperate with security agencies.
