Biden, Harris to make first joint campaign appearance since 2024 race shake-up
Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden are set to make their first joint campaign appearance next week since Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race against Donald Trump.
The event is scheduled for August 15 in Maryland, near Washington.

Biden’s withdrawal followed a debate performance against Trump that raised concerns about his age and cognitive abilities. Since then, Vice President Harris has taken the lead, energizing the Democratic Party with rallies and record-breaking fundraising efforts. Her efforts have also helped to erase Trump’s lead in the polls.
Biden has limited his public appearances but remains focused on promoting his achievements and supporting Harris’s campaign.

The president, along with the leaders of Egypt and Qatar, has invited the conflicting parties to resume talks on August 15, coinciding with his campaign event with Harris.
In a recent interview with CBS, Biden expressed concerns about the likelihood of a peaceful transfer of power if Trump were to lose the election again, reflecting ongoing tensions in the political landscape.
