Story by Aliyu ASKIRA, Kano
A graduate of Physiotherapy from the Bayero University Kano, Abdurrazaq Olajide, has tragically died in a motor accident a week before his induction and oath-taking ceremony.
It was gathered that Abdurrazaq, who graduated earlier this year, was on his way to Kano when the accident occurred on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The induction and oath-taking ceremony is slated for 20th August.
“Abdulrazak graduated from BUK earlier this year after spending about seven years in the College of Health studying.
“Unfortunately, on Tuesday while on his way back to Kano to attend his induction and oath-taking ceremony next week, he had an accident and passed away. What a painful exit,” former president of the National Association of Physiotherapy Students, Fakhruddeen Auwal Taheer, confirmed the sad incident in a Facebook post.
“We lost him a week to their induction into Physiotherapy Profession! I just came to realise the death of our good friend and also a junior colleague, Abdurrazaq Olajide, who was involved in a road traffic accident Tuesday on his way back to Kano Dtate in preparation for their induction ceremony into Physiotherapy profession that is scheduled to hold on next week.
“Abdurrazakaq was indeed a good person with good heart. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and make Jannatul Firausi be his final abode,” the post said.
