Court sends tenant to prison for defiling landlord’s 7-year-old daughter
A man has been remanded in prison for the rape of a minor in Oyo State.
The man, identified as Kareem Mojeed, was said to have lured his landlord’s seven year old daughter into his room and defiled her on July 21 at 5:00 pm at Ebedi area of Ibadan.
Kareem was made to face the Chief Magistrate of the Iyaganku Family Court in Ibadan, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, on 21st August.
Court documents disclosed that the offences committed contravened Section 34 of the Oyo State Child’s Rights Law, 2006.

The court ordered the defendant be remanded in prison at the Agodi Correctional Centre, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
