EndBadGovernance Protests: Curfew lifted in Keffi LGA in Nasarawa
The dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa State following the violent aftermath of the EndbadGovernance protest has been lifted.
The local government council in a statement signed by the chairman, Muhammad Baba Shehu, revealed that the curfew was lifted after consultation with security agencies who assured residents of safety of life and property in the area
“Keffi local government council, after due consultation with the security agencies in Keffi, and on the strength of the security agencies’ advice, which carefully analysed data on the current national hunger protest, suggested that for now, there is no cause for alarm.

“Accordingly, I have the honour to officially suspend the curfew earlier on put in place from 6pm to 6am, with immediate effect,” the statement reads in part.
The council assured residents that security personnel will be vigilant and monitor the areas for any suspicious movement or incident detrimental to public safety and health.
