Gospel Singer Aduke Gold passes away

Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has passed away. The news was shared on Tuesday, August 13, by fellow gospel artist Esther Igbeke on social media.

Esther Igbeke posted a tribute with Aduke Gold’s picture and the caption: “A general has fallen. RIP.”

Aduke Gold gained recognition in the gospel scene with her single “Nitori Ogo,” which was featured on her popular eight-track album and received widespread acclaim on social media.

Apart from her soul-lifting songs, Aduke Gold was also known for her inspiring story after she shared her early struggles on Instagram. She became orphaned at the age of four and had to survive a life of hardship. She spoke about selling items such as slippers, yam, and fried fish.

Aduke Gold revealed that she once packed fish heads at a frozen foods store and had learned to cook with firewood when kerosene was scarce.

Aduke Gold held a higher degree in Child Psychology, a diploma in Montessori Education from the UK, and numerous other qualifications in Special Education. She worked with children with special needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia.
