Hoodlums disrupt protest in Katsina, loot properties, attack gov’t house
The #EndBadGovernance protest in Katsina State escalated into chaos on Thursday when a group of hoodlums hijacked the peaceful demonstration, leading to widespread looting and property damage.
Tragically, multiple casualties have been reported as miscreants turned violent, targeting shops and vandalising the belongings of local residents.
This unrest occurred just before the organised protesters reached their intended destination.

In an attempt to restore order, security personnel resorted to firing warning shots at the disgruntled crowd, which subsequently forced the agitated protesters to disperse.
Sources from News Point Nigeria revealed that among the victims, including police officers and a District Police Officer (DPO), received medical attention at a clinic in the Katsina State Government House.
Efforts to reach Police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq for comments were unsuccessful, as his phone remained unreachable.
