Man United sends support to Angel Gomes after serious head injury
Manchester United has sent a message of support to their former player Angel Gomes following a serious head injury he sustained during a Ligue 1 match on Saturday.
The incident occurred when Gomes, currently playing for Lille, collided with Reims defender Amadou Kone in the 11th minute of the game.
The collision led to immediate medical attention for Gomes on the pitch, while Kone was shown a red card for the incident.
The game, which Lille eventually won 2-0, was delayed for 34 minutes as Gomes was stretchered off and taken to the hospital for further treatment.

In a statement on their website, Manchester United expressed their concern and wished Gomes a speedy recovery, saying, “We are all thinking of you and wish you a speedy recovery, Angel.”
